One of the nicest features about Farmville is the ability to send free gifts to your Farmville friends. It costs you nothing more than a couple seconds of your time and is a good way to reinforce your friendships with neighbors. The newly added “Send Gift” feature allows you to also purchase gifts at the Market, giving you a wide range of possible gifts to send either your friends or other accounts.
Gifts that Cost Cash or Coin
Farmville recently added a feature which allows you to purchase gifts at the Market to send to your friends. These items can be bought with either Farm Cash or Coin and include:
- Gazebo
- Treehouse
- Manor
- Pink Toolshed
- Orange Tabby
- Large Pond
- Garden Gnome
- Scarecrow
Not Spoiled, Gifted!
The “Not Spoiled, Gifted” achievement requires that you leave gifts in your Gifts Box until you accumulate a certain number of different gifts. The blue ribbon will be awarded to you once your Gifts Box has 21 unique gifts. Make sure you get rid of duplicate items—use them or sell. They take up space that you need in order to win this ribbon!
Requests
If you have a lot of neighbors, you will generally receive a lot of gifts. Not all of these gifts will be ones you want—I mean, just how many reindeer can a person really use?? Farmville has anticipated this and allows you to sell extra or unwanted gifts right from your “Gifts” box. To avoid getting unwanted gifts, leave a note on your farm (something like “I would really appreciate some cows and/or chickens”) and hopefully people will check it before gifting you. Try to do the same for other players.
Dual Accounts
If you are using dual accounts to level up more quickly in Farmville, free gifts can be a pleasant bonus. Send yourself the items each of your two farms needs. If one of your farms has more Cash than another, send yourself the Cash items that your other account can’t afford. Use common sense and a little patience to build up your two farms into massive plantations!
